Module description

Concepty Countdown is a free WordPress countdown timer plugin designed to display the time remaining before an event, launch, offer or other deadline. Create individual timers in the WordPress dashboard and place each one precisely where you need it using a shortcode. The timer displays days, hours, minutes and seconds and does not require a popup or site-wide automatic insertion.

Create multiple countdown timers

Each countdown has its own entry in the Concepty Countdown administration menu. Choose a title, end date and time, optional description, optional action button, color scheme and behavior after expiration. The end date follows the timezone configured for your WordPress installation.

You can create multiple independent timers for different campaigns or events. Each one has its own ID and insertion shortcode, so updating one event will not require changes to other countdowns.

A clear countdown with four time units

A large responsive timer displays the number of remaining days, hours, minutes and seconds. The figures update in the visitor's browser. The timer represents a fixed deadline, not a new countdown that starts whenever someone visits the page.

Use it for product announcements, event registrations, association events, website launches, conference sessions or a temporary offer. The timer is an informative visual element: it does not itself close a checkout, booking system or registration form.

Insert anywhere with a shortcode

After saving your timer, copy the individual shortcode from the Integration panel. Example: [concepty_countdown id="123"]. Replace 123 with the actual timer ID provided by WordPress. Paste the shortcode into an article, page, Shortcode block or compatible page builder.

Timers appear only where you add their shortcode. There is no popup and no automatic banner. You may use the same shortcode on multiple pages or create separate timers for separate deadlines.

Customize design and call to action

Select three colors for each countdown: background, text and accent/button. A dashboard preview shows the main choices. Add a title and optional description to clarify the deadline. If both the action-button label and its HTTP/HTTPS URL are set, visitors will see a link to your chosen page. Otherwise the button stays hidden.

The layout adapts to mobile screens, though you should always inspect the final result with your own WordPress theme and other installed plugins.

What happens when the timer ends?

Choose between hiding the countdown and displaying a custom expiration message. This lets you remove an expired campaign or explain that registrations have closed. If a custom message is selected but left empty, the countdown is hidden instead.

Frequently asked questions

Can I have several countdowns?

Yes. Every timer has its own date, text, colors, settings and shortcode.

Does it require a page builder?

No. Standard WordPress pages and the Shortcode block work. Compatible page builders can also render the shortcode.

Does it open a popup?

No. The timer is inserted directly inside your page content.

Does the button have to be shown?

No. It appears only when both its label and destination URL have been provided.

Can it hide itself once time runs out?

Yes. Choose to hide the timer or replace it with a custom expiration message.

Does it automatically disable online purchases?

No. It is a countdown display, not a checkout or booking restriction tool.
